The Creative Parents Association (CPA) is a dynamic group of parents dedicated to staying involved in their children’s academic and emotional education. The main goal of the parent’s association is to help the Montessori School of Johns Island be an even better place for our children to grow and learn!

The mission of the CPA is encouraging participation and support, sharing information and education.

The CPA:

  • provides a place for parent voices through discussion within the school community
  • provides support, response and involvement in all aspects of the school’s work
  • educates, supports and challenges parents in the transforming work of the Montessori School of Johns Island
  • welcomes and embraces not only new families but continues to work on inclusion of our parent community throughout our journey through years of attendance

CPA works with the school administration to raise funds through fun, annual events like raffles, the March Madness Bracket Challenge, School Clean Up Days, Smarty Party, and a holiday fundraiser. The funds raised help supply the classrooms and playgrounds with new educational materials, and support teacher appreciation initiatives, to remind our top-notch teachers how much we appreciate the work they do with our children every day.

The Meetings
The CPA monthly meetings are a fun, casual way to get involved and learn how you can give back to the Montessori School of Johns Island! We have a great group of parents who attend, share some snacks (and sometimes a drink or two!) and help support our school!

The Events
We share expert information about important topics like how to make the right school choices after the Montessori School of Johns Island and tackle the tough topics with an annual Darkness to Light training. We also have several social events for parents to get together and share a little grown-up conversation!
