OUR PHILOSOPHY

montessori_logo_d
WE BELIEVE…

In your child’s right and ability to learn in a fun, loving environment, supported by certified teachers who are committed to meeting your child’s needs academically, emotionally, and physically.

We believe in the power of play and that learning should be FUN!

Language for a foundation.

The quill pen, open book, and paper represent reading and writing and the different languages taught at Montessori School of Johns Island.

Science for understanding.

The trinomial cube represents science and math and the Montessori methods, both visual and sensorial, used to teach math as well as other subjects.

Time for learning.

The Greek word “Kairos”, written in the book and the months around the inner globe, represent the time necessary to master what we are attempting to learn.

Attitude for life.

The Latin words “Possunt quia posse videntur”, meaning “They can because they think they can”, represent the positive attitude.

Respect for the world.

The constellations reminds us that we are all part of the environment of the universe and members of a community.
